About
Who We Are
How We Build Websites
The websites we build do anything from giving visitors information, advertising a service, hosting a video, supplying forms, and so much more. Typically it's with the hopes that a visitor will consider your service/business/etc. To do this, Steel Valley Web takes care of the work on the technical side so more eyes will see your website.
Websites for All Screen Sizes
All websites we build will fit on ALL major and most minor screen sizes. Computers, tablets, phones, and maybe a smart fridge (though I haven't tested that yet...). If the website works, more visitors who have an interest in your service will stick around.
Custom Designs to Illustrate Your Business
A lot of websites use templates, and while templates aren't all bad, they can have three major drawbacks: they lack the character of your business, they tend to slow load times, and worst case, they can have security vulnerabilities. If you've worked with a web developer in the past, you may have heard them say, "Sorry, the site builder won't let us do that." Luckily, we don't have that problem!
Steel Valley Web does not use pre-built templates. Everything is crafted with YOUR business in mind. You'll have more control over your websites and visitors will benefit from the fastest load speeds possible.
Helping Google Index Your Page
There's some technical measures we take to help push your website closer to the top of Google. Anything from the words we use to the code we write can move your business from the second page of Google results to one of its top choices.
The Process
What's the process of building a website with Steel Valley Web? We're glad you asked!
Meeting & Questionnaire
The process starts with a meeting where we learn about your business, your goals, and your website needs. This can be a phone call, zoom call, or in some cases, an in-person meeting. You'll be given a short questionnaire so we can get a fuller picture of your business and what you need.
Design
Next, we create a mockup and screenshare it with you to get your feedback and final approval.
Development
Once a design is approved, development of the site begins. Once it's complete, testing will confirm that the site is running at the best speeds possible and on all major browsers.
